One Tree Planted

We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with One Tree Planted to plant trees! One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to global reforestation. They work with local organisations planting trees to restore nature and biodiversity, also raising awareness about the importance of trees, create opportunities for us to lend a helping hand as well as encouraging our younger generations to do something positive for the environment.  

We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature which is why we are honoured to aid reforestation efforts through One Tree Planted as an integral part of what we do.  

For every full-price pair of Northside footwear sold, we will plant one native tree in Australia.  

One of Australia's largest natural disasters in history, the "Black Summer" of 2019-2020 fire season brought unprecedented destruction. The mega fires burnt more than 10 million hectares of land in addition to the heart-breaking toll and devastation of family properties, the horrendous loss of native plants and wildlife such as Koalas, Wombats, and Kangaroos along with their habitats.  

Planting native trees such as Acacia, Banksia, Eucalyptus, Melaleuca, and many other native species will help ensure the health of these forests after devastating fires, improve soil quality, and control invasive species while reducing the risk of wildfires in the future.   

As well as recovering fire-damaged lands, by supporting One Tree Planted and reforestation efforts across different ecosystems in Australia such as wetlands and rainforests, together we can ensure an increase in vital habitats and food for an incredible array of life, clean air and water, prevent further land degradation, and promote climate change resilience for generations to come.
